Chinese Food
For the last few weeks we have been enjoying food they served us every day in China, watermelon and fresh tomatoes. I've also been eating greens, in the form of leaf lettuce, and I bought an eggplant at farmer's market today to cook. (John won't eat the eggplant) Those were things we had every day. At this time of year, the fresh produce is delicious. We are so blessed!

That's okay. I don't eat Eggplant either. But I like vegetables. Did you know that 80% of the vegetables grown on earth are grown in China? I thought that was an interesting statistic.

The 80% is amazing in a country that still has much poverty. I just read that the majority of China is rural. It's a huge country so I'm sure they do grow a lot. I took pictures of some of it.
